Past Simple Tense

Can you spot the difference between what happened yesterday and what usually happens? We use the past simple to talk about things, our adventures, surprises, and everyday moments, that happened before now—yesterday, last week, or even five minutes ago!

I danced in the rain.

Yesterday, she met a talking parrot.

He didn't bring his homework.

We didn't eat a snack.

Did you visit the museum?

Did you see the rainbow after school?

Regular verbs often end in -ed, but watch out for those irregular ones!

Write 3-5 sentences about your weekend using past simple verbs. How did you feel? (e.g. I baked a cake and danced to my favourite song. It was amazing!)

In case you missed these quizzes last year, here they are again =)
