A Day to Remember

Everyone has a day they will never forget. It might be a celebration, a trip, a competition, a family gathering, a school event, or a moment when something unexpected happened.

Think of a special experience from your life and write about it.

Write 100-120 words in 3 paragraphs:

  • Paragraph 1 (The Beginning): What happened? When and where did it happen? Who was with you? How did you feel at the start?
  • Paragraph 2 (The Experience): What happened next? What were you doing? Describe the place, people, and activities. How did your feelings change during the experience?
  • Paragraph 3 (Looking Back): How did the experience end? Why was it special or memorable? What did you learn from it? How do you feel about it now?

Remember to:

  • Use past tenses.
  • Organise your ideas into 3 paragraphs.
  • Use linking words such as first, then, next, after that, finally.
  • Describe your feelings (excited, nervous, proud, surprised, grateful, relieved).
  • Write 100-120 words.
